If you know The Simpsons then you must have heard of Family Guy as well. Family Guy -just like The Simpsons– is an American animated sitcom for adults.
The show was nominated for multiple awards including 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, 11 Annie Awards as well as a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and it was also ranked the ninth Greatest TV Cartoon of All Time by TV Guide in 2013. The series received negative comments and critics about its similarity with The Simpsons but besides these Family Guy is absolutely one of the most entertaining and funny shows on television, but what is it about?
Family Guy takes place in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island in the United States. The story of the show (just like in The Simpsons) revolves around an American middle class family, the Griffins. The family consists Peter Griffin, who is a blue collar worker, Lois Griffin, who is the wife of Peter and their three children Chris Griffin, who is just his like father easy and simple, Meg, who always gets ignored and bullied by everyone and Stewie, who basically acts like an adult and the highly intelligent and sophisticated dog Brian. The series makes fun of the American culture and society, the actual political issues and so on.

The show has already 14 seasons and 252 episodes. The first season of Family Guy premiered on Fox on 31st January in 1999 and the latest season of the series debuted on Fox in the end of September in 2015.
